CGA President Gen. Francis X. Taylor (ret.) to Receive Homeland Security Lifetime Achievement Award from GTSC

Cambridge Global Advisors is excited by the news that company president Francis X. Taylor will be recognized for this honor by the Government Technology & Services Coalition at HSToday’s Holiday Heroes Award ceremony on December 6, 2023.

HSToday introduced the Lifetime Achievement Award in 2021 to mark the twentieth anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, recognizing “individuals who’ve dedicated their lives to the nation’s safety post 9/11 and showcased remarkable agility and selflessness in homeland security pursuits.”

Gen. Taylor served as Under Secretary for Intelligence and Analysis at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security from 2014-2017. Previously he was Vice President and Chief Security Officer for the General Electric Company in Fairfield, Conn. Before GE, Mr. Taylor had a distinguished 35-year career in military and government service, where he held several senior positions managing investigations, security, and counterterrorism issues.

Taylor also previously served as Assistant Secretary of State for Diplomatic Security and Director of the Office of Foreign Missions, with the rank of Ambassador. He was responsible for the global security of all U.S. diplomatic personnel and facilities. Ambassador Taylor also served as the U.S. Ambassador at Large and Coordinator for Counterterrorism for the Department of State from July 2001 to November 2002. During his 31 years of military service, Ambassador Taylor served with distinction in numerous command and staff positions, rising to the rank of Brigadier General in September 1996.
