Press Release: Former Senior TSA, CISA Officials To Advise CGA Clients

Cambridge Global Advisors (CGA) is adding two former senior DHS officials to its best-in-class team of security professionals. Tirrell Stevenson, former Executive Assistant Administrator at the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), and Doug Watson, former Technical Assistance Branch Chief, Office for Bombing Prevention at CISA, will advise CGA public and private sector clients.

About the latest additions, CGA President Francis X. Taylor said, “Adding Tirrell and Doug to what is becoming perhaps the strongest boutique security consultancy in this arena is a major benefit for us and for our clients”.

Stevenson is a senior law enforcement and homeland security executive with over 25 years of federal experience in public safety, counter-terrorism operations, and insider threat mitigation. At TSA, he was responsible for a $700+ million budget and the management of thousands of employees assigned to over 100 locations worldwide.

He led the strategic transformation of Federal Air Marshal Service (FAMS) operations to meet the evolving threats to the transportation domain including the expansion of the Counter-Unmanned Aerial System operations, among other programs. Stevenson’s 35-year career includes active-duty service with the United States Air Force, local and state law enforcement service with county and local police agencies.

Watson was, most recently, responsible for developing and distributing IED-specific protective measures for critical infrastructure during elevated threat levels, participating on various interagency IED working groups, and providing subject matter expertise on DHS policy efforts to counter IEDs.

Prior to joining DHS Doug spent over 40 years in leadership positions in the U.S. Army and the Walt Disney Company. A retired U.S. Army Colonel, Doug holds a BA from Norwich University and multiple Masters degrees, including from National War College, Naval War College, Central Michigan University, and Shippensburg University. He’s a graduate of the executive leadership programs at the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University and Harvard Kennedy School.
