Cambridge Global Advisors (CGA) is a strategic communications and public affairs firm seeking a Policy & Communications Fellow. Our clients span across industries, including NGOs, the private sector, and government, with a special focus on national security, international relations, and cybersecurity.
The Policy & Communications Fellow will support security-related projects for a variety of our clients. Beyond assisting with day-to-day client activities, the Fellow will be responsible for researching and compiling the latest cyber and national security policy legislation and regulations, and working with client leads on stakeholder outreach and engagement, media relations, communications support, policy and stakeholder research, database management, writing documents and memos, and more. The Fellow may also gain exposure to business development processes, such as identifying eligible opportunities and assisting with proposal drafting.
The ideal candidate should be interested in public affairs and strategic communications as they relate to national security and cybersecurity. Key responsibilities and qualifications include:
Responsibilities:
Support business development initiatives and client acquisition efforts
Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis
Assist in drafting policy memos and research briefs
Provide client support and project coordination
Contribute to background research for client projects
Participate in team meetings and strategy sessions
Qualifications:
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Interest in or knowledge of cybersecurity policy, government affairs, and related topics
Ability to work in a time-sensitive environment
Pristine attention to detail
Willingness to take on more than one project at a time
Openness to working remotely
Availability to commit to a minimum of 12 hours/week for approximately 10 weeks
This fellowship is unpaid and requires a 12-hour minimum commitment per week for approximately 10 weeks. The Fellow will gain experience in the diverse aspects of a public affairs consulting firm in the national security space, and they will be provided opportunities to engage with and learn from CGA top-level executives. CGA will work with the selected Fellow to receive course credit offered through their colleges and universities.
The anticipated start date is February 1, 2026, but CGA can be flexible, depending on the individual’s prior commitments or needs.
