Junior Analyst (National Security/International Affairs)

Cambridge Global Advisors (CGA) is seeking a hardworking, motivated Junior Analyst to join our team to support day-to-day projects for a portfolio of National Security/International Projects clients. In this role, you will work closely with CGA staff, senior leaders, and consultants to deliver a variety of services including: Project tracking, strategic communications, stakeholder engagement, and campaign planning services. This position will interface daily with CGA staff and external partners including clients, NGOs, and top subject matter experts. It requires excellent project, time management, writing and communication skills, and frequently involves working with global audiences across multiple time zones globally.

DUTIES

Key responsibilities of a Junior Analyst include:

  • Supporting the development and day-to-day execution of projects and plans aligning to a variety of clients’ needs and business objectives.

  • Engaging with clients to understand and define project requirements, scopes, and objectives that align with organizational goals.

  • Drafting, editing and disseminating -- without significant editing by others -- a range of written deliverables such as reports, presentations, marketing materials, proposals, emails, and traditional/social media content.

  • Supporting reporting requirements, which can include tracking or analyzing project metrics or compiling written progress/data visualization reports.

  • Leading a project’s administrative tasks such as coordinating schedules, travel, finances, event planning, meeting agenda development and other follow-up actions.

  • Helping to plan and execute trainings, events, conferences, or other engagement activities.

  • Coordinating internal and external resources, ensuring that projects remain within scope, schedule, and budget.

  • Occasionally participating in business development efforts, including conducting market research, writing proposals, and considering strategies to keep or expand CGA’s client list.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • 2-4 years experience in a project support or business consulting role
